1,697 students used the library for research or classwork
161 classes came to the library for lessons or information resources
Circulation
2,116 items (books, magazines, audio-visual materials) were circulated or renewed
29 interlibrary loan requests were filled (this represents resource sharing with other OCM BOCES schools)
Information Skills Lessons taught:
Location & access
Introductory & advanced OPAC
Author & genre studies
Introduction to, and use of, research databases
(Many of these lessons included individualized, 1:1 instruction, as I remain committed to giving students personalized instruction each class period.)
Highlights On January 28th I put on display all of the new books, both fiction and non-fiction, that I purchased for the year. To highlight the books and thank the faculty for their continued support I hosted a library breakfast that day. Dozens of faculty and staff members came to the library to enjoy a bite to eat and look over our brand new material.
Issues As the 7/8 Integration Specialist I am wrestling with the best way to present my expertise in Web 2.0 tools to the faculty. I will try to present weekly mini-workshops and see if there is any interest from the teachers.
